Dados Históricos: O roquete ganhou ao longo do tempo, o significado de autoridade e jurisdição. O roquete é muito parecido com a sobrepeliz, porém existem diferenças, o primeiro é estreito, apresenta grande quantidade de rendas e notavelmente as mangas unidas às da batina. A sobrepeliz é mais larga, não possui necessariamente rendas e, se as possui, é em menos quantidade, as mangas são mais largas e não rentes às da batina. A renda no roquete possui muitos símbolos litúrgicos como o cálice e a hóstia que representam o corpo de Cristo na Eucaristia, o lírio símbolo de pureza, a cruz trevolada que representa  Santíssima Trindade, as uvas o vinho transformado em sangue na Eucaristia, a inscrição JHS (Iesus Hominum Salvator), Jesus Salvador dos Homens, o Sagrado Coração de Jesus que representa o íntimo e grandioso amor de Cristo.

Historical Data: The ratchet has, over time, gained the meaning of authority and jurisdiction. The ratchet is very similar to the surplice, but there are differences, the first is narrow, lace and notably the sleeves joined the cassock. The surplice is wider, has no necessarily lace and, if you have them, it is in less quantity, the sleeves are wider and not close to the cassock. The lace in the ratchet has many liturgical symbols such as the chalice and the host that represent the body of Christ in the Eucharist, the lily symbol of purity, the trevolated cross that represents the Holy Trinity, the grapes the wine transformed into blood in the Eucharist, the inscription JHS (Iesus Hominun Salvator), Jesus Savior of Men, the Sacred Heart of Jesus that represents the intimate and great love of Christ.
