Dados Históricos: A casula é usada sempre sobre a alva e a estola, preferencialmente com amito e o cíngulo. Por conta do seu significado atrelado ao sacrifício, a casula é usada unicamente na missa, exceto quando se celebra a Paixão do Senhor, na qual não é celebrada verdadeiramente a missa, apenas recorda-se a Paixão Salvífica de Cristo. Os bispos, nas missas mais solenes, usam a casula sobre a dalmática. É vestida pela primeira vez na ordenação presbiteral. A cor da casula obedece ao tempo litúrgico: a cor preta é usada nas cerimônias de exéquias como Finados e missa de corpo presente. A cruz romana ou cruz latina recebe este nome porque era usada pelos romanos para executar seus criminosos, por esta razão nos remete ao sacrifício de Jesus Cristo ao ser morto na cruz para a salvação do homem. As papoulas bordadas na veste têm um significado cristão, pois são também conhecidas por dormideiras, simbolizam a sonolência espiritual, a ignorância e a indiferença. Também podem representar o sono da morte. Eventualmente a papoula está retratada nas crucificações e mortes de santos. A coroa de espinhos tem por significado a história da Paixão de Cristo; quando é combinada com uma cruz, lembra a crucificação. Representa também o escárnio e a zombaria dos soldados romanos. A inscrição JHS (Jesus Hominun Salvator) significa Jesus Salvador dos Homens, que pode vir representado com uma cruz acima.

Historical Data: The chasuble is always worn on the alb and stole, preferably with amito and cingulate. The color of the chasuble obeys the liturgical time: the black color is used in the ceremonies of funerals such as the All Souls and the body mass present. The Roman cross or Latin cross gets its name because it was used by the Romans to execute their criminals, for this reason it refers to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ when he was killed on the cross for the salvation of man. The poppies embroidered on the garment have a Christian meaning, as they are also known as sleepers, symbolizing spiritual drowsiness, ignorance and indifference. They can also represent the sleep of death. Eventually the poppy is portrayed in the crucifixions and deaths of saints. The crown of thorns has the meaning of the Passion of Christ story; when combined with a cross, it resembles crucifixion. It also represents the mockery and mockery of Roman soldiers. The inscription JHS (Jesus Hominun Salvator) means Jesus Savior of Men, who can be represented with a cross above.
