Ele é também o defensor e protetor filhos de Deus e de sua igreja, é Padroeiro da Igreja Católica. São Miguel Arcanjo é o chefe supremo do exército celestial, dos anjos que são fiéis a Deus. Ele é conhecido também como o Arcanjo da Justiça e Arcanjo do arrependimento. São Miguel Arcanjo é o grande combatente e vencedor das forças do mal. O nome Miguel, vem da língua Hebraica, é um nome em forma de uma pergunta: “Quem é como Deus?” É, na verdade, uma “pergunta afirmação”, pois "ninguém é como Deus". O nome Miguel significa ainda "semelhança de Deus". Seu nome é citado três vezes nas Sagradas Escrituras: A primeira, no Antigo Testamento, está no capítulo 12 do livro de Daniel. A segunda, já no Novo Testamento, na carta de são Judas e a terceira, no capítulo 12 do livro do Apocalipse. Este arcanjo é considerado o padroeiro dos fuzileiros navais, marinheiros, motoristas de ambulância, paramédicos, policiais, paraquedistas, radiologistas e da Santa Igreja Católica Apostólica Romana.

Historical Data: São Miguel is considered the celestial guardian, the prince and warrior, who defends the celestial throne. He is also the defender and protector of the children of God and his church, he is the patron of the Catholic Church. Saint Michael the Archangel is the supreme chief of the heavenly army, of the angels who are faithful to God. He is also known as the Archangel of Justice and Archangel of repentance. São Miguel Arcanjo is the great combatant and winner of the forces of evil. The name Miguel, comes from the Hebrew language, is a name in the form of a question: "Who is like God?" It is, in fact, a "affirmation question", because "no one is like God". The name Miguel also means "likeness of God". His name is mentioned three times in the Holy Scriptures: The first, in the Old Testament, is in chapter 12 of the book of Daniel. The second, already in the New Testament, in the letter of Saint Judas and the third, in chapter 12 of the book of Revelation. This archangel is considered the patron of marines, sailors, ambulance drivers, paramedics, police, paratroopers, radiologists and the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
