Dados Históricos: A peça foi utilizada por Dom Francisco de Aquino Corrêa, no séc. XX. Os sapatos manufaturados começaram a aparecer durante o século XVIII, no início da Revolução Industrial. Em meados do século XIX começaram a surgir às máquinas para auxiliar na confecção dos calçados, mas, só com a máquina de costura o sapato passou a ser mais acessível. A partir da quarta década do século XX, grandes mudanças começaram a acontecer na indústria calçadista, como a troca do couro pela borracha e pelos materiais sintéticos, principalmente nos calçados femininos e infantis. Atualmente algumas marcas de sapato se constituem em símbolos de status social, remetendo novamente às eras egípcia, grega e romana.

Manufactured shoes began to appear during the 18th century, at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. In the middle of the 19th century, machines began to appear to assist in the manufacture of shoes, but only with the sewing machine did the shoe become more accessible. From the fourth decade of the twentieth century, major changes began to happen in the footwear industry, such as the exchange of leather for rubber and synthetic materials, especially in women's and children's shoes. Currently, some shoe brands are symbols of social status, referring back to the Egyptian, Greek and Roman eras.
